A repeatable technology playbook across six acquisitions
North Highland · 2014 to 2026
Technology due diligence and post-deal integration for six acquisitions, turned into a playbook the firm could run at scale.
A multi-year transformation that retired 19 systems in favor of an integrated ERP, HRIS, PSA, finance, and CRM platform for a global consultancy.
North Highland ran on nearly two dozen disconnected systems accumulated over years of growth and acquisition. Time entry, resourcing, billing, and reporting each lived in a different tool, and the seams between them were held together by people. [verify: add one sentence on the specific pain that triggered the program, e.g. month-end close time or a failed audit finding]
We sequenced the program around the revenue path first: professional services automation and finance, then HR and CRM, so that every phase paid for the next and the business felt the benefit early.
Each legacy system had a named owner, a retirement date, and a data migration plan. Nothing was allowed to run in parallel indefinitely. [verify: how many phases, over how many years, and the integration or data platform used]
The same program established global standards across five countries so that a process in London worked the same way in Atlanta.
